Privacy Policy
Effective date: 24 October 2026
Farmket is operated by Mohamed Tharik. For privacy questions and requests, email support@farmket.in.
This policy covers the Farmket Android app and farm management service at app.farmket.in. The marketplace is not available in this release. Features may differ between the app and website.
1. Information we collect
Depending on the features you use, we collect:
- Account information: phone number, account identifier, name and profile details, and email where you provide it.
- Farm and business records: farm name and entered location; team, customer and supplier details; roles, tasks, animal identification, milk and egg production, livestock treatments, vaccinations, breeding, calving, weights, feed and stock.
- Financial records you enter: sales, purchases, invoices, expenses, receipts, debts, payroll, balances and bank or UPI details where you use those features.
- Selected files: photos and supported attachments you choose, and associated file metadata.
- Support and security information: request contents, account identity, timestamps, request status and relevant audit records. Our hosting, authentication and security providers also process technical information such as IP addresses, device/app verification information, identifiers and request information needed to operate and protect their services.
- Phone-alert information: if you enable alerts, Farmket stores your Android device push token and alert preference so Firebase Cloud Messaging can deliver generic farm-work and account reminders to that device.
Animal health information concerns livestock, not your personal medical history. Records and uploads can nevertheless contain personal information about you or others. Only enter other people's information when you are authorised to do so.
2. Phone sign-in
Firebase Authentication verifies your phone number using an SMS code. Google receives and stores authentication phone numbers for spam and abuse prevention across Google services. Supported email or single-sign-on methods also process the information needed to sign you in. Farm access depends on authorised workspace membership, not possession of a phone number alone. See Firebase phone authentication.
Never send an OTP, password, access token or payment secret to Farmket support. SMS/network charges may depend on your provider.
3. How information is used
We use information to authenticate accounts; provide farm-management features; save and synchronise records; manage team permissions; prepare reports and invoices; send phone alerts you enabled; handle requests; and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access. Phone alerts contain generic text; open Farmket and sign in to view account-specific details.
Farmket Assist, where enabled
If you choose to prepare an Assist draft, your selected short recording, register photo or entered text and chosen language are sent through Farmket to Google Vertex AI to extract a reviewable draft. Do not include unrelated private information. You can review and edit the result; a draft does not save a sale, receive a payment or add a production record. Farmket does not log or store the raw AI input or output on its servers; it stores usage counts and timestamps to manage allowances. Google processes the selected input under the terms and data controls applicable to our configured service. Drafts and selected media are held temporarily on your device while you use the tool. Money Detective calculates checks from your recorded farm data on the device without sending those records to an AI model. Microphone access starts only when you request a recording; normal manual entry remains available.
4. Sharing and providers
- Workspaces: authorised members can access records according to their permissions. Operators may access relevant information for support, security and request handling.
- Google/Firebase: supplies authentication, database, storage, hosting, backend, app/abuse verification and Firebase Cloud Messaging for opted-in Android alerts. See Firebase privacy and security.
- Payments: where website plan checkout is enabled, Cashfree processes payment information and Farmket retains relevant order/payment references and status. See Cashfree's privacy policy. Automatic renewal is unavailable while Cashfree reviews that service. Paid features are disabled in the Android release.
- Your sharing actions: sending a receipt or report to another person/app or opening an external link subjects the chosen information to that recipient's practices.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose relevant information when lawfully required or necessary to protect rights and investigate abuse.
We do not sell personal data.
5. Device access, notifications and offline records
The Android app uses internet access and selected-file picking. It may request notification permission when you choose to enable phone alerts. If enabled, Android push tokens are stored under your Farmket account and used only to deliver Farmket reminders and account updates. Turn alerts off in Settings → Notifications or Android system settings; signing out also removes that device registration when the phone is online. We do not request camera, microphone, GPS, contacts, SMS-reading or broad storage access. Location is entered manually. Tag-reader input is keyboard input from equipment paired outside the app, not direct app Bluetooth scanning.
Device/browser storage is used for sessions, preferences and supported cached or queued work. Clearing storage may remove unsynchronised work. Uninstalling or signing out does not delete your cloud account. This policy does not claim end-to-end encryption or encrypted local caches.
6. Security and processing locations
We use HTTPS and account/workspace access controls. No system can guarantee absolute security. Google/Firebase and other providers may process information outside your country; a regional backend does not mean all data stays in India. Provider processing follows their applicable terms and privacy practices.
7. Retention and deletion
Account, uploaded file, notification-token and workspace data remain stored while needed to provide the services you use. You can request deletion at any time. Signing out removes a device's push registration when the phone is online; if it is offline, removal is retried after sign-in.
After verifying a deletion request, support will manually delete the authentication account and associated personal information from active Farmket records within 30 days, except information that must be retained for a lawful obligation, a genuine dispute, fraud prevention or security. Shared business records may need ownership handover, removal of your personal details or anonymisation rather than deletion of other members' records.
For any retained information, we will explain the categories, specific reason and applicable retention period to you. Retention is limited to that purpose and ends when the requirement ends; farm ownership or an unpaid balance is not a blanket reason to retain all your personal data indefinitely.
Provider logs and backup copies follow the provider's applicable retention/deletion processes and may not disappear immediately. Local copies on your device or copies already shared with others are not automatically removed by deleting the cloud account. Contact support for information about the records and retention that apply to your request.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
You may request access, correction, a copy of your information or account/associated-data deletion by emailing support@farmket.in. Use the public deletion-request instructions; no app installation or sign-in is required to initiate an email request. The app's Settings → Privacy & data screen also records requests.
Requests are handled manually by Mohamed Tharik/support. Include the account phone number with country code or account email and what you want us to do. We verify identity proportionately before releasing or deleting information and handle verified requests within 30 days. We will confirm completion and explain any lawful exception. A request status alone is not evidence of deletion. Please do not send passwords, OTPs, unnecessary identity documents or payment secrets.
9. Children
The first Android release is intended for adult farm owners, workers and buyers aged 18 and over, not children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact support so we can investigate and handle it appropriately. We do not claim that an age-verification system prevents every minor from accessing the service.
10. Updates and contact
Changes to this policy will be published here with an updated effective date. Review the policy when using new features. For questions, complaints or privacy requests, contact Mohamed Tharik at support@farmket.in.
